Babar Azam scripts another world record in ODIs

JK Latest News

Pakistan captain and one of the best batters of the current era, Babar Azam, has achieved another world record in his ODI career. He became the quickest batsman to reach his 15th ODI hundred.

Babar smashed a century in the second ODI against Australia to go past South Africa’s Hashim Amla in the list of taking the fewest innings to reach this landmark.

The 27-year-old player took 83 innings to complete 15 tons in the 50-over format.

Amla had scored his 15 centuries in 86 innings. Former India captain Virat Kohli is 3rd on the list and took 106 innings to reach the mark.

In the first ODI between the two nations, Babar had become the fastest Asian batter to reach the 4,000 ODI runs mark and fell only one innings short of levelling Hashim Amla’s record.
