Divisive politics unacceptable. The resignation tendered by General Secretary EJAC Mr. Sajad Ahmad Parray rejected, he shall remain as EJAC General Secretary for full term. EJAC.

Srinagar, 14th January-2023, Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) termed attempts to distrupt the unity of employees for personal gains as unfortunate and against the democratic values. EJAC executive members in its meeting held today at Srinagar presided over by President EJAC Wajahat Hussain has outrightly rejected divisive politics and pledged to counter it unitedly with iron hands. It was impressed upon all EJAC constituents to be vigilant and reject the divisive politics of any kind, the leaders of EJAC in one voice devalued the attempts of certain elements to weaken the unity of employees. Leaders present in the meeting in loud and clear voice reiterated that there is no place for self styled leaders in today’s democratic world and the Employees Joint Action Committee has already adopted democratic ways to elect it’s leadership and to run its affairs on the principal of democracy and will remain on the path of democracy. The resignation earlier tendered by the Sajad Ahmad Parray, General Secretary EJAC was also on the agenda and the Senior leaders speaking on the issue said that the contribution of Sajad Ahmad Parray in the trade unionisim of J&K is unparalleled his sacrifices can’t be measured, he has played very important role time and again in strengthening the EJAC and above all there is no reason available for him to resign from the post of General Secretary, therefore his resignation was outrightly rejected by the members in one voice. In the meeting various other issues were discussed and decisions thereoff also taken which includes to strengthen the EJAC and its financial health. The Executive body reiterated it’s faith and trust in elected President Mr. Wajahat Hussain Durrani and assured every possible support to him. A committee under the Chairmanship of Sr. Leader Of EJAC Farooq Ahmad Khan was constituted for a particular purpose and the committee shall submit its report on Monday. The future strategy was also discussed in the meeting in light of recent developments.
