Border town Karnah again cut off due to fresh snowfall

Kupwara, Mar 1, KNT: Due to fresh snowfall, the border town of Karnah and dozens of other far-flung and remote areas were again cut-off from Kashmir Valley.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Kupwara-Karnah, Kupwara-Keran and Kupwara-Machil roads have been closed due to fresh snowfall.

They said the snow clearance operation to restore traffic to these areas was suspended due to fresh snowfall.

Several inches of snow has added to already 4 to 6 feet of accumulated snow on these roads,’’ they said.

Official sources said that the clearance of snow from the roads will resume once there will be an improvement in the weather. (KNT)
