Narco Terror Case’: SIA attached properties in south and north Kashmir worth crores

Srinagar, Jan 04, KDC: State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Thursday attached properties worth crores of two narcotic terrorist smugglers in south and north areas of Kashmir Province.

A top official told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that, one accused identified as Abdul Rashid Bhat S/o Ghulam Mohammad resident of Larkipora Padgampora Awantipora is wanted by State Investigation Agency (SIA) in case FIR No. 19/2022; U/S 13,17,18, 39, 40 /UA P Act, U/S 120-B, 121, 121-A IPC, U/S 8/21, 8-A/27B, 29 NDPS Act.

He said the accused is absconded or is concealing himself to avoid the service of warrant and thereupon, a proclamation was duly issued by NIA court Srinagar on 02.05.2023, requiring the said accused to appear and answer the said charge within 30 days. The accused Abdul Rashid Bhat, failed to appear before the court and subsequently was declared as proclaimed offender and the NIA court has proceeded with the attachment of the immovable properties belonging to said accused.

Today a team of SIA officials attached the immovable property of the accused comprising of 01 kanal 6.5 sirsai, Khewat No. 9 and 19 situated at Larkipora from his share in joint property.

 

Another team of SIA Kashmir attached the immovable properties belonging to one more accused in the same case, identified as Abdul Rashid Mir S/o Mohd Sultan Mir, a resident of Amargrah Sopore.

The SIA team attached the immovable property belonging to the accused abosconder, comprising of (05) five kanal in survey Nos. 1463 and 1458, khewat No. 144, Khata No. 244 situated at Amargarh from his share in joint property.

SIA Kashmir is achieving another big success by attaching immovable properties worth crores belonging to narcotic terrorist smugglers absconding arrests. All other departments like revenue magistrates, transport, police are with close liaison with the agency in execution of this process.

The further investigation of the case is still going on, the officer added. (KDC)
