Srinagar, Feb 10 (GNS): At least four persons sustained injuries in a road accident in Garkote area in Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official told GNS that four persons were injured after a Toyota car, bearing registration number JK054 6384, skidded off a road and rolled down at least 200 mtr. down into a gorge in Upper Garkote.
Following the incident, a rescue operation was launched at the site and four persons evacuated from the site to a nearby hospital.
Among the four, two injured were referred to GMC Baramulla and two others to SKIMS Soura for preferential treatment.
Confirming it, BMO Uri Balwinder Singh told GNS that the injured persons have been referred to other hospitals due to the serious nature of their injuries. (GNS)
