Amid rise in Covid-19, Kargil administration makes wearing of facemask in public places compulsory

Srinagar, Jan 02 (KS):- Amid the rise in Covid-19 cases, Kargil administration has made wearing of face masks in public places compulsory.

As per an order issued by District Disaster Management Authority kargil, a copy of which lies with News Agency Kashmir Scroll, In order to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the District, people have been asked to take precautionary measures with immediate effect, keeping in view the rising of COVID-19 cases in the neighbouring District.

The precautions as per order include compulsory wearing of facemask in the offices, workplaces, public places and public transport. Compulsory frequent washing of hands in the offices/ workplaces. Adherence of COVID appropriate behaviours including social distancing at the work places/public places and in the offices.

“General public shall avoid unnecessary gathering and visiting crowded places. All Head of Departments of Kargil District and all Sub-Divisional Magistrates shall ensure the compliance of this order. Chief Medical Officer, Kargil shall keep rigorous surveillance and submit daily status of COVID-19 report to this office.” It states further.(KS)
